
Foreign Visits
Professor Malhotra is a widely traveled statesman and has had the privilege of representing his country abroad on various occasions.
He was sent by the Central Government to Thailand, Hong Kong, Japan, USA, UK, France, Germany and Italy to study the working of over 20 Metropolitan cities of different countries.
He represented the nation in the United Nations as a delegate and addressed the UN General Assembly. He toured various countries as Chairman, and Member of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha delegations such as UK, Australia, France, Germany, Sweden, Italy, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, South Africa, Kenya, Egypt, Finland, Latin America, Brazil, Canada, Iran, Korea and other countries.
He held face-to-face meetings with foreign Heads of State and Governments of various countries while presenting India’s position on important matters of international importance. Following the loathsome terrorist attack on India’s Parliament in December 2001, Prof. Malhotra was sent as the head of a delegation to some Muslim nations like Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria to meet their apex leaders and popular figures to apprise them of the terrorist activities emanating from our neighbouring country.
